Yeah I guess the smaller class size is a contributor to that, but from a class profile perspective doesn’t seem like the bar should be any higher. I also got an interview with Yale where class size is even smaller. No point crying over spilled milk anyway

I would assume that those applying to MIT is a little different? also they look at things quite differently than the other business school is what I heard.

I think if there are no better candidate than you, then you’ll be offered an interview. Same situation here, international, non-traditional background. The waitlist success rate is around 15% (which round not stated), with 50% yield

Honestly, I just wish at least one of these schools offered a way to get feedback on your application. It just sucks to have literally no idea why you weren't selected or how you could've improved your application. /Rant

IMHO, you don’t need consultants (I happen to be one) for any WL assistance. There are two main actions you could explore - a) improve your score, and / or b) showcase something about your career progression since you applied. Continue to attend their webinars / events, speak with more students / alumni and follow the instructions the adcom have given you while communicating the WL decision.
