For admitted students who plan to matriculate, or those who plan to matriculate if admitted, I have a big question: Why Ross? No, seriously, I don't want the answer you gave in your essay or interview. Truly and honestly, why are you planning on attending Ross over other schools? I'd love to hear opinions. PM me if you don't want to put the answer here. Thanks!
Have you visited the campus? I think ross is one of those programs that has more intanglebles. The recruiting is pretty strong for consulting and midwest as a Elite (non-M7) school.
I did visit, and the reason I'm asking is that I didn't... love it. The class I observed was relatively dull and the students seemed uninvolved, everyone was "nice" but no one was particularly forthcoming, and I just really didn't feel like they wanted me there the way I've felt at other schools. Maybe it was a bad day, who knows?
I actually had a similar experience which is part of the reason I was leaning towards Duke. In one class I was in at least two people arrived late and there were people talking during class while the professor was lecturing. I also got a very "young" feel from one group of students I interacted with. On the other hand there were some other students that I thought were very put together and what I'd expect at an MBA program. I came away feeling like I didn't know what I'd end up with. I attended two classes, one kind of turned me off, the other was better but still a little disengaged.
