Sorry - the problem was on our side. Our bad. The only person who knew how to do it could not get online until 0:30 AM Pacific, so we'll keep the tests open till the same time tomorrow.

Thank you for your interest and hope the wait was not too long - again apologies; hoping the 25 butt-whooping tests will make up for that :-D

I think this is wrong. Statement I is insufficent too. Try with 4. 16-8+A can be positive even if A=-2,-3......
So the right answer should be E. Am I correct?
Is A positive?

1)x^2-2x+A is positive for all x
2) Ax^2+1 is positive for all x

Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (2) ALONE is not sufficient
Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (1) ALONE is not sufficient
BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient
EACH statement ALONE is sufficient
Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient
Statement (1) by itself is sufficient. . For this expression to be always positive has to be more than 0. has to be more than 1.

Statement (2) by itself is insufficient. is positive for all even if is 0.

The correct answer is A.

It works !!! Thanks.. Access is slow, however. (probably due to multiple users working at the same time).

Thanks a lot. That was an 'interesting' experience. I didnt have to time to go through more than 1 quant exam though and I noticed that while the questions are indeed on the difficult end, I particularly noticed a LOT of traps (I think I did quant set 13). I mean like a BIG LOT of traps, obvious ones and not so obvious ones. I had trouble with the not so obvious ones, for example 4 distinct integers, duh it means 4 different integers, I just completely over read that.... do you guys really feel there will be that many trap/trick questions for high quant scorers in the actual gmat. I am just wondering, as I didn\t think this was the case for the gmatprep softwatre (maybe I am wrong here though, that's my subjective memory)

Well, overall, the verbal questions were a bit on the tougher side. But they really point out your shortcomings.
Maybe this helps on D-day. Hence, I see this as :
"If you practice at high altitudes, the actual race becomes easier to win."

The math section was tough.
I got 50% on 2 sections... I'm a little worried.

Well I know this exam is essentially made of 700+ level question but in day D, if we want to score high we should be able to answer those questions easily.
