GMAT verbal vs GRE verbal

Hi Khulan,

Since you've taken the Official GRE, I assume that you already know that the Verbal portion of that Exam places a far greater emphasis on your knowledge of vocabulary (and when to use certain words instead of others) than the Verbal section of the GMAT does. From your post history, it appears that you have put in some significant study for the GMAT, but have you actually taken the Official GMAT yet (and if you have, then how did you score?)?

It's worth noting that you do NOT need to score a V40 on the GMAT to earn an Overall Score of 700+, so we'll need to better define your overall timeline and goals before we can properly plan out this next phase of your studies (and which Exam you should focus on):

1) When did you take the Official GRE? How long did you study beforehand and what GRE study materials did you use?
2) How long have you studied for the GMAT? How many hours do you typically study each week?
3) What GMAT study materials have you used so far?
4) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
