Does Haas have a targeted class size? I wonder if there's a smaller applicant pool. In earlier posts, someone mentioned that this thread was much quieter than last year's.

The 2017 Haas Facebook closed group has more than 100 members. Earlier FB groups seem to have more than 200 members, but they may have joined when the classes began. The acceptance rate seems to be comparable to the previous years though. Hope that helps.

Yeah this year's thread is much less active than last year's. But it seems like the past two years the entering class size is around 250. From what I saw when I checked in for my interview, they are still interviewing a lot of people, and that list was only for that day..

They are still accepting applications on a rolling basis after May 30, 2014. I just saw that on their website. I am not sure if they do that every year.

It was getting to be a little lonely, I had been starting to think I was the only person applying for round 3 =P

I didn't even know they opened a 4th round until this week. My interviewer also mentioned that they're accepting applications after May 30th on a case-by-case basis.

I moved to the Bay Area just when the R3 deadline was approaching, so I missed it. I thought I was the only R4 applicant, until I met a couple of interviewees, who had applied in R4 on the same day as my interview. The application process seems to be a bit unpredictable this year.

I submitted my application the night of the round 3 deadline, 3/20. I interviewed at the end of April, and again this week, with a different person. I'm not sure how common that is. One of the great things about the 2nd interview is that the wait for decision day is much shorter than otherwise!

Same here. That's the first time I'm hearing of two interviews for a single candidate. It may indicate that the AdCom has more interest in you.

I've no idea what it could mean, if anything, but I came across an anecdote about a candidate whose first interviewer didn't get their assessment to adcom for whatever reason. That could be the case with me.

Anyway, by tomorrow most of us will have found out if the work we put into our applications paid off. For anyone who doesn't get a call tomorrow, all is not lost; I remember reading about at least one person who didn't get a call, but was accepted online the next day.

I was interviewed for the 2nd time when I applied to University of Western Ontario Ivey. I was told then the reason being interviewed twice means the members of adcom had different ideas about recommending you to admission. When I had my interview at Haas, I specifically asked about whether there would be a 2nd interview. I was told in very rare case there could be a 2nd interview. The reason is similar to Ivey's 2nd interview. In all, I think that's not a bad thing. You provably got half of the members recommending you and others were trying to dig out more reasons to recommend you. Congrats!
