Hi guys!
I'm quite ok with CR and RC
however still struggling with SC : mainly idioms (there are always never seen idioms) and very specific grammar rules (not the general easy ones such as subject-verb agreement)
so far I've been preparing by using EMPOWERgmat
Any suggestion?
Any study group?
Hi
mamu10, it is worth noting that GMAC (the organization that conducts GMAT)
explicitly stated few years back that questions that test students on Idiomatic usage
alone, will be discontinued.
Hence, idiom will
never be a make or break in any question. So, if an option has an incorrect
idiomatic usage, there will also be something
else wrong with that option. You can use that
something else to eliminate that option, even if you are
not confident about the correct idiom.
Having said that, our book
EducationAisle Sentence Correction Nirvana discusses
most frequently tested idioms, their application and examples. If you or someone is interested, PM me your email-id; I can mail the corresponding section.
