If 3x + 2y + 5z = 10 and 6x + 4y = 12, what is the value of z? A. [m] [#permalink]
I tried to do this question the chetan2u way: That is find values instead of algebraically solving equations.

Two equations are given: 1) 6x + 4y = 12 and 2) 3x + 2y + 5z = 10.

For 1) you can put x = 1 & y = 6/4 and the equations will hold.
Put these values of x = 1 & y = 3/2 into eq (2),
You get, 3 + 3 + 5z = 10 => z = \(\frac{4}{5}\) OPTION A
