We are about a couple of months away from the Round 1 deadline. How are your applications going? Does anyone need any help? :)

Hi,

just wondering - how many applications apply in round 1 vs round 2? Is there a significant difference?

Hi. Just wondering - how many applicants apply in round 1 vs round 2? Is there a significant difference? I know the schools say that chances of admit remain the same but anyone has any other insights ?

Just wrapped up GMAT and signed up on the apply to Stanford website. At first glance, man that's overwhelming. So many optional essays.

On one hand, you don't want to say something for the sake of saying it. On the other hand, you don't want to squander the opportunity to put more of yourself out there.

Good luck everyone!

That is so true. The application really gives you the space to put yourself completely out there - both emotionally and work wise. At the same time, its so difficult to wrap your head around so many aspects of your life.

Congrats on wrapping up on GMAT!

Thanks, ancarter95. I had to give it twice, totally bombed the first attempt. The online experience is really finicky. The second attempt was much better.

I know, right. I decided I couldn’t handle work AND applying all by my lonesome. I’m going to be working with ARINGO for the applications.

I’ll likely be taking mine 3 times. I just took it again last week at my halfway study point.

All the very best. Do share your experience with ARINGO - I’m still in process of deciding which consultant to work with.

I really wanted to apply in R1. I’m only applying to 4 schools. So I rushed the first attempt, to leave enough room to work on applications. I was getting 750s and 760s in my practice tests, but the actual test was much harder than anything I saw before.

I just paid them a few hours ago! It’s too early to say, but I picked them because they published audited admission statistics on their homepage. I know that everyone is unique, but the fact that the other consultants refuse to talk numbers bothered me. I’ll definitely write a review after R1.
