Hi everyone,
Totally dejected today after scoring a 580.
The following is the amount of effort I put in, and also listing down the materials I used for studying (please excuse me if 'for studying' is idiomatically incorrect!)
Duration:
Roughly 3 months. The last 20 days were completely devoted to study, on all the remaining days, I was working and studying 4-5 hours per week on weekdays and 4-5 hours each day over the weekend
Target score was/is: 650-700
Material used:
OG 2016 - Quant section, SC, CR
Besides,
Quant:
Manhattan strategy guides - All 5 of them. IN DETAIL.
Some theory from Math book on GMAT club like Advanced Overlapping sets,
Some articles from
e-gmat team like Variations in factorials, GCF LCM, etc
GMAT Club questions in the difficulty range of mostly 600-700, 700+
- Approximately 300-400 in number
Verbal:
SC: Manhattan guide thoroughly. All chapters.
Expert global GMAT shots for SC.
Magoosh GMAT idiom flashcards from mobile application
Some articles from
e-gmat like -ing forms available on Google drive accessible to all
Approx 150-200 questions from GMAT club
CR:
Read power score Bible. Not with great attention but decently well.
For practice just the
OG as mentioned initally
RC: only the mock Exams
Mocks:
GMAT Prep (4)
560 q47v20
590
600 q45v30
590 q47v26
Experts global (3)
650
600
430 (No clue what went so wrong, quant was too difficult in this one I feel)
Please can someone give some advise, coz you all have'been there, done that'
I thought I had studied enough, and anything more would have been very difficult anyway to manage with hectic work schedule.
Thinking whether I give it one last shot or take there GRE route, since programs/colleges I'm targeting are also accepting GRE.
Thanks in advance.
