Due to my short budget I have decided to apply to 1 school in top 20 one in top 30. I decided to apply to programs I'd be likely to receive a scholarship based on these programs GPA and GMAT averages. I didn't enter to the top 20 program but did to the one in top 30 with a 1/3 tuition scholarship.
I'm thinking retaking the GMAT and try next year with a higher scholars potential but am also thinking if you guys think there is a way for a person who got admitted to only this program negotiate successfully for more $.
On the one hand I don't have a counteroffer but on the other I would most probably won't attend this program for it's 2/3 of its price.
Any advice from anyone negotiated without any other offer? Is it even possible?
I'm not eligible for aid as I'm a Brazilian with no US citizenship.

You can sometimes negotiate scholarships, but normally you have to have something to negotiate with, i.e. another better offer. You can't really just say "hey, can I get more money". It's not so convincing. If you do decide to enter into negotiations remember to be kind, polite and grateful.
