A quick comment and note - if you see a page that not looking quite right, that is likely a local cache issue in the browser.

Please refresh your browser by hitting F5 or Reload arrow (may have to do this multiple times) or better do a SHIFT + F5 refresh that will reload all of the elements on the page. You only need to do this once.

Thank you BottomJee for reporting the issue.

Yes, currently for some technical reasons, we have a limit of 50 questions you can select. So, to download more, you should download all.

Thank you bb & Bunuel for the response.

One another issue I that would need fixing in the future iterations would be removing the duplicates that are created when you change your answers during the quizzes.

Hi,

FIrst of all, I would like to thanks the team for revamping the error log layout and providing more features that are useful to the users.
However, the new layout is buggy where we (I raised this in chat and echoed by others) experienced different issues every day (hard-refresh does not work).

Issues including and not limited to
1. error log page not getting latest questions answered
2. after clicking on mistakes and note button, page jumped to my account page
3. some random list of questions in error logs after filtering

Can someone please help to take a look?

Thanks very much.

I have 2 suggestions for the error log:
1. There should be an option for the users to enable/disable auto-grouping of questions attempted via Forum Quiz. As I am using the streaks method, I attempt multiple quizes in a day and, hence, have to keep ungrouping each question group to check my performance in the individual questions. If this is not going to be worked upon anytime soon, is there a way I can access the older version of the error log page?
2. The question attempted date and time should be shown in the user's local time zone. The default timezone could be set based on the "Location" selected by the user in his/her profile.

Hi. Many people attempt multiple quizzes in a day. Some attempt probability and assumption questions and want them grouped as such. I am sorry, don't know what the streaks method and I don't understand why you need to ungroup questions to see individual questions. You can see that whether they are grouped or not or maybe I am missing something. If you can explain the process, I think there is a better chance we can find a solution. By the way, have you tried to download the excel file and check the questions that way by using the sum/etc formula? P.S. There is no way to go back to the old error log.

2. The questions in the error log ARE saved in the local time zone and have been for many years. You just did not set the time zone in the forum. I encourage you to explore the settings. Time zone settings are not based on location since some locations have multiple time zones (e.g. US has 6 for example and Canada has a few as well and I suspect other countries do too) so there is a time zone setting. This setting is also provided to you when you register as well and the whole forum works on these settings.

I’m not sure why there is a limit for downloading … this is a good question but meanwhile I would use the same way as it was used before - do not select any checkboxes and download all.

There is a limit of 50 questions to be selected as that is the limit of the number of questions that can be taken with a quiz, so if you need to select a greater number of log entries, feel free to download all of them instead or in 2 steps of 50+X type of thing. 2 more clicks.

Hi. If you would like to delete your previous attempts, you can delete your previous attempts. Or keep track of your latest mistakes in a group called "Mistakes" which you take as a quiz or you can take filter out older mistakes... the possibilities are endless.

However, I would advise highly AGAINST doing that. Getting a question wrong, then solving it a week later does not mean you will be able to solve it in 2 months. There is value in keeping your mistakes and knowing what they are/were each day or week or month. You can easily filter or sort questions and avoid taking them again while preserving your history. How do you know if you are doing better this week? There are easy ways to do what you are looking to do without deleting everything.

I just noticed the upgrade to error log! Its super cool!! totally loving it!!
Is there a way to name our groups? the questions I take as forum quiz do get grouped, but I would like to name the groups instead of those having generic names.

We currently don't have that feature. However, it's valuable feedback, and I'll take note of it.

In light of GMAT Club's new error log edition, Ryan Starr from Manhattan Prep made this video where he discusses the benefits of using error logs.

Thank you very much for reporting the issues.

Would you be able to email any screenshots or recording to support@gmatclub.com?
It would be super helpful in reproducing and fixing the problems as fast as possible.

P.S. For not getting latest questions - are those Data Insights by chance? We are working on adding these to the Log still.
If you have a question that did not get added, getting a link would be super duper helpful to troubleshoot.

Thank you!!!
