Yes, I totally agree. But someone has suggested Expert Global over Manhattan.

BottomJee, Thanks for the response.

I read somewhere that Expert global mocks are not adaptive in nature, but I cannot confirm this information.

Hello guys!

I hope you are doing well

I have been thinking to try GMAT for a while

got to know that there is a change

gmat focus

could somebody guide me please which schools are considering this new edition for admissions and which are not

Another thing, I have quite a low score in undergraduate but total 10 years of experience in industry : international exposure as well. Should it try for gmat or not? What are the suggestions and key things which I should plan in advance

Hi. Welcome to GMAT Club.

All schools accept the new GMAT format. Only 1 will delay until next year accepting it because of logistics. So it will be accepted by everyone.

Don’t worry about excepting or not accepting. This is a noyes. Do you want to focus on getting the highest score you can because of the low GPA, that’s your only way of redeeming yourself…

Before you think about the GMAT, I would suggest thinking about MBA and business schools. Obviously if you don’t need games and MBA, you don’t need to take the GMAT and vice versa, if you do then you will need to take GMAT or GRE.

But if you’re curious about this beast and how hard or easy it is, you can take a practice test. You can take one here on GMAT Club or you can take one from the official source on mba.com and see what you get. So obviously there’s quite a bit of improvement you can gain and get but usually that improvement will be about 200 points so if your score really really well, then it will be a hard uphill journey.

PS. I would spend perhaps an hour familiarizing yourself with the question types and how to answer them because there’s some weird ones in data sufficiency and you can skip the essay in the integrated reasoning sections. Only need to take one quant one verbal test.

Keep in mind, GMAT and mba are not the end goal. Usually you take them to improve your career and there may be other ways to do it as well. Some ways will be easier than others. There are also many MBA programs. Some are very prestigious and require very competitive scores and others are less prestigious and may not require any scores at all. But it all depends on what your goal is and how much effort you’re willing to put into it. Your time can be used better for other things as well

Hi Anushka2023,

Your account isn't very new, so this may be because your post count is low. You could try asking (tagging) an admin/mod, or you could try chat (you may be able to find a mod there).

Hello!
Hope everyone is doing well!
I’m new to this group and have recently decided to take GMAT at the end of October this year. How should I prepare to get a score of 700+ within this timeline?

Welcome. That may depend on what your current score isn’t how long of a journey or short of a journey you have in front of you. People don’t start in the same spot 😉 and people have certain strengths and weaknesses… but if you’re looking for one size fits all answer, I would say I want to get some prep materials such as books or a course and you want to start studying because two months is on the short side.

Average is about 5 years (that’s at the time of matriculation). The minimum is usually two years and while there is no maximum, it is really hard to get in with more than about 9 years of work experience. (This excludes military service)

What’s more important than just how many years you have but rather how much progress you have made during those years. Eg. You may have 5 years and got promoted twice. Someone may have 3 and were promoted twice. Who do you think looks like a shooting star and who looks stale? The 3-year applicant wins.

but there are much more components to this and circumstances. So don’t freak out 😂
