I think another question would be what you want to do with an MBA... . What is a respected job? That’s not really defined. I am not sure about other countries and places but in the US/Europe, you are not guaranteed a job after graduation from MBA, so you have to find one leveraging your pre-mba experience

I don’t see how your "situation" has anything to do with the GMAT. If you are asking if you are a good candidate for an MBA, it really depends on what you have achieved. If you have not done much more than the norm, then it is going to be an uphill battle. Business school is for folks who can’t sit still, who do more than others and who use their resources and time wisely and get ahead in any situation.
