Rice University Jones 2012 - Calling All Applicants

Hi,
Hope you all are doing great. I had my interview with Rice few days back and waiting for the results eagerly.Since its R3, i am worried about the scholarship. I had few questions regarding the financial aid n sponsoring my MBA.

1. Can you tell me what are the different options for financing my MBA in Rice ?
2. Will I be able to take any part time job in Rice University such as computer lab management, teaching assistant etc. HOw difficult will it be to manage work and studies specially for someone who doesnt have management background. I am a softwrae engineer from India?
3. Can i get any kind of loan in US or other scholarships?
4. The results will be out on Apr 6th. How much time generally does a student get to accept the offer.?

I am concerned whether i will be able to gather the reuire amount and hence bothering you with my questions.

Only 23000 scholarship though. About 10000 below my debt free threshold....
In the letter they stated that "continuance of the scholarship is dependent upon maintaining good academic standing", anyone know how difficult to get scholarship for the second year?

Accepted with $30k scholarship round 3, got the call today!!! The deadline to enroll is 4-20.

has anyone from R2 waitlist heard back ?

There are many people in this forum who have applied to Tepper and Rice both? I want to know everyone's opinion on choosing between Rice and Tepper incase they get call from both the colleges and lets say same scholarship.

Has anybody from Asia region heard from Rice? I know the last date is 6th April but since many candidates have already got their admit ,I am getting anxious now.

My interview is next week on campus (Last Deadline applicant). Does anyone have any advice on the interview?

Did anyone hear from the admissions committee yet? Today is 6th and I am getting anxious.. I was told in the interview that the results will be out BEFORE the 6th.. Is there a link on their website to check the decision or is everyone intimated by email?

Just curious, has anyone that applied in Round 4 got a decision yet?? Kinda anxious to get a decision, but not sure if decisions are realeased only on the rlease date or start a little before...

Any R5s for the MBAP out there? Submitted mine close to deadline. Applied with 2.9 undergrad GPA, 3.5 grad GPA, 620 GMAT and 2 years work experience. I think I have fairly weak numbers and am prepared to spend another year looking.

For those looking at next year, I had a meeting a week or so ago with Sue Oldham, the director of admissions at Rice, and she stressed work experience. In my case, she said I needed to address in my essays how someone with 2 years WE will be a resource for a peer with 5+ years. Just a heads up.
