I had an interview this week on campus. It was very conversational. Covered the basics, why MBA, why Rice, Leadership. My interview lasted about 45-50mins.

Answers to your questions

I am working on my RICE app. Need your inputs on following points:

1. Did you guys convert your bachelors score to a GPA using the evaluator's services mentioned on Rice's website? If yes, which one did you choose?

I used iGPA services for the conversion. It was easy and affordable at 5$. But, Rice mentions that the process will be easier if you submit a evaluation proof from the agency.

2. Do we need to send out the official transcripts to Rice or a scanned one would do at the application stage ?

Copies of Official Transcripts with university stamp.

3. How is RICE on scholarships?
Good number of scholarships. However, for specific information on scholarships, contact Rice.

I recieved a hand written note in the mail from the person who conducted my interview. I was very suprised to see this as I had not heard anyone talk about this in last years thread. I hope that is a positive sign. Has anyone else recieved a note or heard of this before?

I submitted my app on 6th Nov, I was however interviewed previously during visit of admission member in India 27 september and got a call today 19:30 IST. I will be available on the thread all the time.

I want to know I have submitted my application on the same day 7th Nov, and was interviewed on 8th dec
SO should I expect result by 9th Jan :P

I mean by when will all results come ? any idea?
BTW u got a phone call or an email?

i got rice admit with 80% schol.....could not receive the call as was pumping biceps in gym:P...but received confirmation on email as well:)...

Hi Everyone,

I got a call about 12 hours ago (when I was in office) and was informed that I have been admitted with a very generous scholarship. I was also told that they are spreading out their calls over the next couple of days and are calling international students first.
