I didn't really expect a reject, looks like Rice is a tough nut to crack. I was considering it as a safe school - 740/Indian IT Male - 4 yrs in IT(at the time of joining)/3.2 GPA. Looks like I have some serious re-thinking to do.

I have three rejects..ROSS(no interview), Emory(no interview), RICE( with interview)..


my application looks week i guess...

Hi Bschool aspirant,

Dont lose heart. i think your profile is strong. You may not have shown the fit with rice in your essays properly or not shown the rice research in your essays. further to make your profile stronger next time you may think of going on business/sales/marketing side of IT or role nearer to the post mba field.

I'm round 2 as well and haven't gotten a response either way. I called them a couple days after the deadline and they said they received about 400 applications so I'm sure it will be some time before anybody hears a response.

I applied for R2 on 8 Jan, just got an email this morning inviting me for an interview.

Don't have an interview date or time yet! But my interview will be over the phone since i'm an international applicant and traveling to the US is quite expensive!!

What are the odds of being accepted after an interview?
