Work Experience Requirement

To be honest, I haven't looked much into FSU's program until just this moment so my answer will be much more generic than desired. In general, I've never seen a "requirement" that high. Are you sure it's not just the average in the class' profile? Next, admissions want to see a well-rounded profile so very rarely would one area make or break your profile. It's normally a combination of things (or conversely, a lack of cohesiveness in your application). With that being said, work experience is very important since it's a measure of your meaningful ability to perform. One who has had 5-7 years would more than likely have much more to contribute to the class than someone who's barely out of undergrad. If you have a good story and a good application regardless of your work experience, I would encourage you to take a more pro-active stance on trying to figure that answer. If you can, a campus visit would be great!
