So, anybody has any intelligence on how & when we hear? The latest email seems to suggest that they may start calling in Feb but going by the trend from last two years, I am not too optimistic...

none so far...since the deposit deadline has just passed, I am hoping we could hear something by next week. Also, there seem to have been very few interview invites for R2 yet...fingers crossed!

FYI, just got the below email. It may give some notification timing guidance to next year's waitlisters...

Quote:
Dear Candidates,

We hope this email finds you well. Now that the Round 1 matriculation deadline has passed, we have gained a clearer picture on where the Class of 2016 stands in terms of enrollment and potential need. As a result, there was some movement on the waitlist last week as we extended offers to a number of candidates.

We realize that remaining on the waitlist can bring mixed feelings, but please know that we only retain candidates in good faith that space may become available. We would also like to reiterate just what an incredibly talented and select group you are.

With that said, we know that many of you have multiple application processes that you are currently managing, which may require you to move forward in a timely manner with incomplete information. Should you decide that you do not wish to remain on our waitlist, please send an e-mail to mba-waitlist@wharton.upenn.edu with the subject line "Waitlist Remove."

We appreciate your continued interest in the program and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Best,

Anyone from R1 get off the waitlist. I was just waitlisted from R2. I thought my TBD went well. I'm worried there might be too many consultants that look like me applying.

Congratulations to guys who were accepted after being waitlisted.

Did you guys send update materials or do anything else to improve your chances? Or just sit tight and wait?

First off - don't sell yourself short by expecting to be on the waitlist! :-D

It has been a bit tough working out how much contact to have with the AdCom as they were quite explicit about not petitioning them with additional information etc. I have erred on the side of caution so as not to pester the AdCom, but have also been quite clear about my position and intentions.
