Got an email from Yale notifying me of a status update. I logged in and it basically says "we regret that we are unable to offer you admission to the Class of 2017."

Yep. At least my #1 ranked school interviewed me. That is helping me keep my head up. Statistically the percent of people dinged w/o interview is abnormal. Yale must have their entire class set from that big wave early on. Shrug. Whatever. On to the next one.

LazyBoy8, seems like you're the resident expert and may know the answer to this, but does anyone know if Tuck will release all the acceptances on the same day? If so, do people have thoughts on when this would be?

yea - I'm thinking all the new changes were very attractive and apps must have gone way up - especially considering the increases all the other schools were seeing.


We are about 2 weeks away guys.. that's crazy. The draft is 3/13

Definitely no resident expert. More like obsessive overconsumer of sometimes useless speculative data. I do know Tuck related stuff fairly well I suppose. Tuck released acceptances to Consortium folks on the Thursday (day before) their final deadline date. If it holds true this year that would be Thursday March 12. They released the dings the actual decision date which would be Friday the 13th this year.....so ominous.

So the draft is on 3/13? We know this for sure now? Was it communicated by the schools already?

Wait...the draft is now on Friday the 13th? I thought folks seemed to be pretty sure it was on March 10th or 11th?

As a waitlisted Tuckie from last year, I can confirm that Tuck tends to make phone calls the day before the official notification deadline. They don't have a ton of CGSM applicants to call anyway, so they do, get through all of them in one day (including R2 admit calls and R1 fellowship calls.)

Sorry to hear about the SOM dings everybody...I know that news always sucks, no matter what.

The silver lining: Now there is more mental space available to focus on the schools you TRULY want to go to. (And if you really wanted to go to SOM and they were your top choice, keep your head up. There's another school admit out there waiting in the wings for you.) :banana

Using past years I would assume the 10th as well. Many schools begin to notify admits on the 11th. angelfire213 where did the 13th come from?
