Hi there -
I am looking to apply to INSEAD, Columbia, IMD and Ivey for an accelerated MBA and was wondering if I have a chance given the profile below:
27 Year Old Male
Education:
BA (Double Major) in Economics & Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania

Graduated Cum Laude in 2001
GMAT: 660 (42 Q, 38 V) AWA 5.5
Work Experience:
Almost 5 years at a top Canadian Investment Bank (2 years in New York and 3 years in Toronto), in which time I have been promoted from Analyst to Associate. I will be able to get 3 very solid recommendations from senior Managing Directors within the firm.
Languages: English, Urdu
Other: League level squash and cricket player. Involved in numerous alumni roles for Penn, including interviewing undergraduate applicants.
I appreciate you taking the time to review this posting. I am also wondering if Columbia is going to continue to offer its accelerated MBA. Can you please assess my chances at INSEAD, Columbia, IMD and Ivey.
Thanks
FKC1,
You have a strong profile with only two blemishes that I can see: GMAT and -- possibly -- your community involvement side. I think you have a decent to good shot at Ivey and IMD, but a tougher go at INSEAD and CBS. Have you considered retaking the GMAT? Assuming your post-MBA goal is finance have you considered Rochester (Simon)?
I don't have any information on the future of CBS's accelerated program. You might just send them an email about it.
