Thanks for your vote & advice! So blessed to have this choice...gone over so many matrices, consulted with a ton of people, accepted then declined an offer and now am in my final stretch of choosing!!

Background: 31 w 8 yrs of exp: 4 consulting, 4 tech

Post MBA goal: social impact and investing

Kellogg
- love the culture! Very me
- has been dream school since I was younger (but then goal was to go to BCG - it's not anymore)
- but feel like it may be similar to my US undergrad in business
- afraid I may skew too old esp in my second yr

INSEAD
- love the diversity - I lived in 6 countries and speak 4 languages so kinda me :-)
- love the duration and break I would get before starting (5 months)
- but afraid I won't get as much out of it as I would w the 2Y and all the extra curriculars Kellogg focuses on w proximity to Chicago and all the opportunities just a train ride away

I would go Kellogg here. Really active social impact community at the school that is really woven into the fabric of the school. Also, a track record of really involved alums that receive tons of support from the school. Also given you interest in travel and international, the school has an international reqmt which fosters tons of international learning and travel amongst the student body. Hell, you can even spend a semester abroad at INSEAD while at Kellogg

Got same conundrum as you (wasn't in your career path tho) and chose INSEAD.

In this case, if VeritasPrep is right, I'd say Kellogg. I haven't seen a super strong social impact scene, but very talented students pushed it forward while I was there, so they might give you a good picture. Let me know if want me to introduce them.

The only caveat I would add is that Kellogg's is 1.8x as INSEAD, so id make an analysis of what I could do with that money in terms of career progression.

New campus looks amazing tho :)

Come to Kellogg! I'm not on the route for social impact but I have been involved with social enterprises. Kellogg is very invested on social impact and has particularly highlight its involvement throughout the application process. We'll event have a social impact event before school starts. I think if you really want to go for social impact, Kellogg's hard to miss. Plus, like the other commenter said, you can always do an exchange at INSEAD as well (or other countries really)!

Thank you everybody! This has been super helpful and the kind encouragement to come to Kellogg is exactly the reason I knew all along and have confirmed for once and for all that this is the right program for me!! It just feel right and that's all that matters. I did decide to transfer to the 1Y and will spend the next few months taking time to myself and really exploring the world of social impact and testing our different areas to fully emerge and then be able to hit the ground running upon arrive in Evanston next summer! Can't wait!!

Awesome news wanderlust you will have an awesome time at Kellogg. Just make sure you rest up in the intervening months before matriculation....Kellogg will certainly keep you busy!

Congrats on having multiple options. Im a current student at Kellogg in the 2Y program, going onto 2nd year in Fall. Reach out if you still have questions about Kellogg.

My 2 cents, Kellogg has been big on social impact. A lot of students seem to thrive here in this particular field.
