First try on the GMAT - 47Q, 41V (710)

That's a great score. I believe you should first check the score requirements of your target school.

Q47 means you are still not comfortable on tricky and hard questions.

Moreover, rushing through the exam is not going to help you score higher.

So, slow down a bit and work on 700+ questions.

I'd advise you to get the ESR for this attempt. I don't expect to see any major weaknesses in verbal, but it might be useful to see how you managed your time, and what the impact of that was on your accuracy levels. Also, what were your scores in the GMATPreps just before your actual GMAT?

While I understand 710 might be a great score, I am an Indian Male, an already over-represented category when it comes to business schools. So 20-30 points might make a big difference.

First of all, 710 is a very good score. Secondly as you want to improve Quant and u have time, u must definitely try the Gmatclub tests. They will help u reach around Q50.

i rly like total gmat math from jeff sackman, tho i dont see a lot of ppl recommend it

Congratulations on a phenomenal score. For Quant you can try out the MGMAT guides they are phenomenal and cover the entire syllabus really well. MGMAT Advanced Quant guide is a great resource for Quant. I must add that if you are particularly looking to discover and improve on your weak areas in Quant; a subscription to GMATCLUB tests is the best way to do that. They are indeed phenomenal and will not only pinpoint your weak areas but also help you improve on them.

Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP, Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have a good verbal and Quant section
and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas.

Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practise tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that.

Lastly I would also encourage you to purchase the latest version of OG, the Quant review and GMATPREP QP1 for some great additional practice.

Hey, I got my ESR Report. My scores on the GMAT Prep ranged from 690-720. Interestingly, in the verbal section, my SC and CR were both above 90 percentile but my RC was only at 56 percentile. Pretty shocking considering I did pretty well on RCs in the mock tests.

You cna look at your errors logs , also check did you commit mistakes in the initial section of verbal i.e first 20 questions of the verbal section itself. There are lot of iterations of how one loses marks in GMAT. I think ron had posted regarding the same. Secondly now also practise from the GMAT prep material posted online. It comes handy

Can you post your ESR here (you can remove any personal information)? And don't worry too much your RC percentile. It may not mean anything.

For quant , Try gclub quant tests . these are on the tougher side of actual gmat.
I raised my q score to 50 using these tests only

I'm looking to do my MBA in IIT Madras, they admit NRI applicants through GMAT score. Is 710 okay?
