Option C is not implied or stated in the stimulus as well. The stimulus doesn't give a criteria of what qualifies a good deed as good.

Two things are true of all good deeds. First, they are accompanied by feelings of satisfaction. Second, if they are publicly known, they elicit general approval.

If all of the above statements are true, then which of the following cannot also be true?

A. Some publicly known deeds that elicit general approval are not accompanied by feelings of satisfaction.

B. Even if they frequently elicit general approval when known publicly, some deeds that are accompanied by feelings of satisfaction are not good deeds.

C. Good deeds are good solely because they are accompanied by feelings of satisfaction.

D. Every publicly known act that is accompanied by feelings of satisfaction is a good deed.

E. Some good deeds that are not publicly known are not accompanied by feelings of satisfaction.

What is the problem with C? I don't see any problem in that.

Hi, let me try and give my 2 cents as to why C isn't right. The argument states that good deeds have 2 true components, and it goes on to conditionally state them. However, the argument gives no indication that those 2 components are exhaustive for what makes a good deed. C extremely narrows down the argument's scope too much and hence is wrong.

Why is D incorrect?
D. Every publicly known act that is accompanied by feelings of satisfaction is a good deed.

The stem says that good deeds have 2 properties, it doesn't say that anything with these properties are good.

In option D:- It doesn't say this is the ONLY thing which is true of all good deeds. Some other things can also be true of all good deeds, which will then cover the second part.
So this is not the correct option.
