Re: Calling all UCLA Anderson FEMBA Applicants: 2019 Intake! [#permalink]
Submitted my application for R1 FEMBA Flex from Bay Area. Optional on campus interview on 10/27. Interview questions pretty much align with full-time MBA interview questions.

Got admitted to another part-time MBA program in LA and deadline is way before UCLA R1 decision deadline... difficult decision making now...

Most likely waiting until 2020 intake to apply for Anderson FEMBA. Is everyone here generally here from the LA or California area?

I applied for 2019 FEMBA intake and was put on the waitlist - primarily because I don't live in CA! Which I think is a bit ridiculous, I'm preparing to move out there anyway from currently living in the NY area, and being admitted would make that decision/process so much easier for me. But when I had my waitlist consultation, they said "we don't know if you're ready because you don't live here - otherwise you are a great candidate". So actually living in CA/the LA area apparently does make a difference. UCLA is my first choice too which makes it so much more frustrating!

Hi!

I applied for the FT program and was invited to interview for FEMBA. I'm very much looking forward to interviewing as Anderson is one of my top choices. A couple questions I'd love input on:

- What is the typical social life for FEMBA? How much interaction is there between FEMBA and full-time programs, and how easy it is to be involved in clubs?
- What are the differences in demographics between evening and weekend cohorts? Pros/cons of each?
- What does the average scholarship/fellowship look like? When do you typically find out if you've received $$$?
- Is there any ability to transfer to the FT program if future circumstances change?
- I will receive an admissions decision from Andreson 2 months before I receive a decision from Haas. Any advice on how I can request to defer making a decision/deposit until after I receive both decisions?

Thanks in advance for any insight on the above.

I attended the webinar last night -- I asked if it's possible to transfer any graduate level credits, and he had answered no, but it clearly states in the Standard Policies and Procedures for Graduate Study Handbook, that two courses can indeed apply. Does anyone have another answer for this?

Anyone else waiting on a decision for Round 2? I'm wondering if there's a chance we'll hear something before the end of the month (probably wishful thinking!)

Hi everyone,

Does anybody know when UCLA releases the admission results for R3? I was checking the previous years' discussions and saw that some people were notified in July(?)...Decision release date is June 14, 2019 (according to the website) but I am assuming that they might call us anytime before then?

Thanks

A friend of mine got his acceptance notice 3 weeks earlier so I am assuming that we might hear something this month. Maybe in 2 weeks? ??

I am sure you will be fine. I dont know if you met anyone from the admissions office but they are nice people. It should not be a problem.

All,

Now that we are in May, decisions might be released any time during the month until June 14 (the official decision release date for R3 Applications). Even if you applied during the second round, we appreciate if you could share your results whether you are accepted/rejected/waitlisted.

Good luck everyone! Hopefully see you all in August!
