N= 24*a+21

N can be : @ a:1 45 then divisor can be 9 & 5
@ a:2, n 69 , only divisor would be 3 IMO A ...

n/24 = q + 21

n = 24q + 21

n = 3(8q + 7)


Option A. 3 is our answer. n is divisible by 3.

N, when divided by 24, gives a remainder of 21.

=> This can be written as N/24 = 24Q + 21

24Q + 21 can be written as 3(8Q + 7) => Divisible by 3

Given that n = 24q + 21,
We are asked Which of the following must be a divisor of n ?
By applying concept of Greatest common Divisor or HCF
n = 3(8q + 7)

Answer is 3
