Nikhil,

As others have already mentioned, 640 is on the lower end for your target schools. Our suggestion would be to work on your score and get it to the 700 range to get into IIMs / ISB. You still have time left for 2nd and 3rd rounds.
In case you want to go ahead with the 640 score, SPJIMR could be worth a shot. Your background in consulting would help securing an admit.

Best,
Team - TopTier

Hi,

I appeared for GMAT online exam on 17 July 2020 and got my result today on 22 July 2020. As a background, i had scored in the range 690-700 in the official practice tests. However, my GMAT score is way below my expectations.

Total 640
Quantitative 50
Verbal 26
Integrated Reasoning 6

My exam went pretty smoothly and i believed i had done better than my practice exams. Can someone please suggest any good B-schools that i can apply to with the following profile

XII - 93.5 ( First in School)
BCom Hns - 79% ( First in College- Regular college)
Chartered Accountant
Work Ex - more than 5 years with Big 4
No significant extra-curricular.

I was aiming to get into ISB or executive MBA programs of IIM A/B/C

Hi Nikhil

Try and enhance your score by a minimum of 20 points, and if possible, try and raise it above the 700 barrier. Your education and performance certainly seems to indicate that you are capable of that. Look at round 2 deadlines for these programs. Focus specifically on improving your verbal. A 10+ point increase is possible in around 1 month+ with daily effort.
