I think HBScore would be the most effective thing you could do to create an alternative transcript, MBA math would also be helpful in giving them added confidence in your quant abilities. 3.0 is obviously not wonderful but I would be more worried about pulling off a good test score. And you might explore doing the gre or even the executive assessment because several schools like Duke Columbia and NYU you accept that for their full-time program as well as Georgetown. If you have a solid excuse for why your grades are low and you also give them confidence that you can handle the math in the courseload then that's the way you wanna go, so prioritize getting a good quant score on a standardized test and if you have the ability HBScore would be something that would really help as well.

Hi everyone,
So at the moment I have a 550 gmat score and plan on applying to an online MBA program for a semester and then use my GPA from that to help my chances of getting into a top 20 business school, does this sound like a viable option? I graduated from undergrad with a 3.0 gpa and also played sports while I was there (We were a division 1 college if that matters), and currently have 3 years experience in consulting. I plan on retaking the gmat either way to increase my score, but thought graduate level classes could help my case in the matter.
Appreciate any advice or past experiences people may have that they would like to pass along
