Steel, River, or Soni:

Any idea how big the MMM applicant pool is? Not that it matters now but is it more competitive or less?? I know their entering class status are pretty much simular to rest of the school. MIT breaks out the number of LFM applicants per year but can't find details for MMM applications.

appreciate any insights.

I would think so. Doesn't law school admissions also have to review your app? This is in contrast to MMM, where the engineering school doesn't review the app and admissions is decided upon by Kellogg.

On Accepted.com's chat last year, Beth flye said the acceptance rate is "similar to the 2Y program." I think it's about the same as 2Y, maybe a couple pts higher. There aren't any printed stats on this as far as I know.

re: applicant pool size -- I think it's about 250 or so, maybe higher this year.

I heard from an Adcom member that the acceptance rate for MMM is very close to the regular MBA program. Does anybody know of any MMM admits this year so far? Also, was there any trend seen last year as to when the MMM admits started rolling out?

Anyone else apply in Round 1 to the 1 year accelerated MBA program? If so, anyone heard anything yet?

Well the good thing about all the excitement yesterday is that I think went through all the range of emotions (on the bad end) that are possible, and ended up at "nothing's changed, but I surivived an early cut."

Has anyone had any other updates?

The guy on BW's status changed sometime between 8am-2pm EST. Perhaps Kellogg does an update each morning?

It's odd that more dings don't go out at the same time.

Don't forget how small of a sample size BW + GmatClub is.

With an expected application volume at K this year over 6000 - there are probably 2000-2500 apps in R1. I would bet the amount of people viewing the two forums combined, for Kellogg related results, and posting their results is less than 100. Saying they accept 450 people in R1 (considering yield, and acceptance ratio, this is probably not toooo far out of whack) and reject around 1600-2000 people, they could be rejecting a huge amount of people each day, and we would never know about it.... Even if they are rejecting 200-300 people each day, maybe one of those people browses the forums, and who is to say whether they will even post their ding in any given day.

Kellogg accepted 485 members for FT MBA last year...i.e 485 from the 3 rounds not just R1 alone...So I don't think they will accept more than 200 applicants from R1. It would be awesome if they selected 450 from R1 itself...but I would guess that would be too much of a wishful thinking...

Good luck to everyone including me..:)

485 FT enrollees, not admits. Would have to calculate yield to figure that out.

They admitted close to 1,000 last year, so your odds are better than you think. The yield brings them down to their class size of ~500.

(Per BW profile: 5,051 applications x 19% acceptance rate)

Yes, I thought they admitted around 960 last year. So close to 1,000 is accurate. Kellogg's yield is around 55-60 percent, so I don't think my 450 is completely out of line. Perhaps 10% high or so?
