Finals are ruling my life, so dont expect much from me for another 24 hours. Last year the status change to unknown typically meant a ding. However, there is always hope...occassionally it actually went to admit but at a much lower rate.

Chances are today was a big day for decision so they probably did a system wide update which is why you all had status changes to something new. They may have decided the previous Tues/Friday wasnt going to work well so got rid of that, not surprising considering people heard on all sorts of days last year.

I would expect the next two weeks to be really busy though guys. They like getting a lot of decisions out before the holidays, they then take a break over christmas, they dont want to ruin peoples holiday with bad news on the 24th.

However, I do not do profile reviews, don't offer predictions on chances and am far to busy to review essays, so save the energy of writing me a PM seeking help for these. If I don't respond to a PM that is not one of the previously mentioned trash can destined messages, please don't take it personally I get so many messages I have a hard to responding to most. The more interesting, compelling, or humorous you message the more likely I am to respond.

My brothers and sisters,
Im at airport. Been flying. Still more to do. This is emotional stuff. Reading through these posts. Seeing the drama.

Its like war.

My status changed to the common status change everyone else got.

Everyone stay strong. Im sorry for those who have fallen. We must still stay tight as a unit.

I'm really close to asking a friend to call my cell and restrict his number so i can experience some sense of the sensation of seeing 'unknown' on caller id with my phone ringing.

Sorry to hear about the dings. Best of luck to you guys with your other schools & applications.

I've officially cut myself off of checking the online application status for fear of "unknown" status message.

On a side note, I just reread my Kellogg app and I'm really happy with how the essays turned out. If I do get dinged, at least I can be happy with the knowledge that I gave Kellogg the right impression of myself, and there were just more deserving candidates.

And the wait continues ...
