They admitted close to 1,000 last year, so your odds are better than you think. The yield brings them down to their class size of ~500.

(Per BW profile: 5,051 applications x 19% acceptance rate)

It's odd that more dings don't go out at the same time.

Don't forget how small of a sample size BW + GmatClub is.

With an expected application volume at K this year over 6000 - there are probably 2000-2500 apps in R1. I would bet the amount of people viewing the two forums combined, for Kellogg related results, and posting their results is less than 100. Saying they accept 450 people in R1 (considering yield, and acceptance ratio, this is probably not toooo far out of whack) and reject around 1600-2000 people, they could be rejecting a huge amount of people each day, and we would never know about it.... Even if they are rejecting 200-300 people each day, maybe one of those people browses the forums, and who is to say whether they will even post their ding in any given day.

Kellogg accepted 485 members for FT MBA last year...i.e 485 from the 3 rounds not just R1 alone...So I don't think they will accept more than 200 applicants from R1. It would be awesome if they selected 450 from R1 itself...but I would guess that would be too much of a wishful thinking...

Admitted is how many they extend offers to - enrolled is how many actually attend. The incoming class profile is how many students enrolled, not how many were admitted. Kellogg admitted close to 1,000 last year.

I think 485 represents number of students who decided to enroll into the program. (Not total number of offered admission to the program. It doesn't count the number of students that went to toher schools even with admit).

Does anyone else have this? wondering if my interviewer submitted his response.....

All the required elements of your application are complete.

If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. If your interview has not been conducted, the application will be submitted to the admissions committee upon completion of the interview. The next status check update will be the admission decision (Admit, Waitlist or Deny). When a decision has been rendered, the Office of Admissions will send you an email notifying you to check your status for your decision. Decisions will be released throughout the round, but the majority of decisions will be released during the last several weeks of the round.

yea I do. I believe that is the standard status before any decision is rendered.

Well guys, I was in a work-related class all day (an awful, boring class), and came home to find the dreaded "Application Unknown" status waiting for me.

I logged back in a minute or two later, and got the ding. :(

I am very disappointed because Kellogg was my top choice, but at least I can take solace in the fact that I really put my best effort into the application. Oh well, I wish you all the best of luck with Kellogg, as well as with your remaining apps.

Time to ramp up my R2 apps!
