Was waitlisted as well. Same thing happened when I applied last go around. Not to expecting to get of the waitlist this time either w/apps being up and the economic climate. That was fun, off to the bars.

I received my admit at 6am Melbourne time (7pm London time) but it went into my spam folder.

So my advice - check all your folders!

I got the admit!! :-D

Congratulations to those who're in, and best wishes for those who're wait-listed.

Has anyone sent an email confirming their acceptance yet? Adcom has asked admits to do this "immediately".

ah, seems gmatclub had a great sweep this time but I ended up on the dry end. I've been waitlisted and previous years' statistics don't look good at all for WLs, so I might as well accept it as a denial.
Congrats to those who made it, have a great time

My congratulations to all those who have been admitted. Not a single interviewed person has been dinged so far - this is simply a stunning set of results.

To those who are wait-listed, I'm very sorry. I know exactly how you feel. I was in your situation in December 07 - uncertain about what to make of it. My experiences have been well documented in the thread of 07 here : lbs-r1-roll-call-54115.html

In summary :
- Be prepared for a long wait - the movement occurs towards May/June/July
- Movement DOES happen. This year LBS had about a 65-70% yield. There will be at least 100 people who will leave an empty spot to be filled by WL candidates
- Your chances of getting a deferred admit or special consideration for class of 2013 are very high
- Try to keep in touch with the ad-coms - if in London visit them personally
- Keep in touch with your interviewer (if you had a good interview) - they will revisit him when reconsidering your application

Once again - dont lose heart - WL is not the end of the world. In fact LBS waitlist has a good chance of easy conversion for next year.

Hey, I see you have admits from Kellogg and LBS...where are you planning to join? Now that I've been put on the dreadful WL, I might apply to Kellogg in R2.

Hey BSD,
Its truly dreadful and I dont think I will remain sane till the end of WL :)
I will apply to few schools but the whole MBA app experience has drained me out since I am a reapplicant this year and its been over a year of torture :D

Re: The London Business School 2010 thread [#permalink]
Guys,

To the WL's and dings - Don't lose hope and keep trying. The fact that you were invited for interview means that you have very good profiles. But I believe beyond a certain point, it becomes a very treacherous process. Too many people have very good GMAT, acads, ECs, essays etc. and therefore above that threshold there is a big chance factor also that plays in. Just try for R2. I will be glad to help anyone (don't know how good I will be but I will genuinely try to). Good luck for your next apps.

To the admits - Congratulations. Let's get to know each other and plan for our two years at London Business School. Mods, what do you suggest?

D.
