Thanks Retailgirl. I called Fedex and plugged in my tracking number, and my package is apparently still Initiated. Maybe I should fly across the country to Charlottesville and pick the package up in person :(

Is your package still Initiated, or is it on its way now? (Mine is still at Initiated)

Guys, I think you can call the admissions office, and ask them to email you the PDF version of the financial aid letter. Also, if you have the access to SIS portal, your aid would be reflected there as well.

Yeah I already emailed the Financial Aid office too. The SIS portal isn't the same as the Darden Portal, is it?

No, it's not the same; it's the page where you fill out university financial aid application.

Kudos djkvakin! Per the Financial Aid email from Darden (generic, I believe), I logged into the SIS. Would awards be under "View Financial Aid?" If so, I have none... and my decision will be easier than I thought. :) Thanks!

Hi folks,

I got an email last week from The Financial Aid office saying the international loan program "will bear interest at a rate of the United States Prime Rate Index plus Four Percent (4%)". Does someone know exactly what that really translate to currently?

That would be 7.25% today.

Its 3.25+4=7.25%

It is variable, so by the time you graduate it can change.
It mainly depends on the fed funds rate, which is currently at .25%.

Prime rate is usually= fed funds rate + 3%

fed funds rate usually varies between 0-6%.
fed funds rate is low - recovery in the economy, borrowing is cheap
fed funds rate is high - boom times, borrowing is expensive, economy might be overheating

Back to your original question, if you borrow the whole amount (with the current loan terms) and not pay a penny for 2 years. At the current rate (7.25%), you will have a monthly payment of 1300$.

R3 here, submitted around 11pm on the deadline. Got an email invite yesterday and going to interview this Monday. They offered 12/13 and 19/20 for the interview dates.

Was surprised by the quick turnaround I think I just got lucky this time. I haven't heard back from 4 other schools with earlier round 3 deadlines than Darden. Would love to have Darden as an option though I'd go in a heartbeat.

I'm in NYC btw, w/m/27.

R3 here as well, submitted around 3pm March 31. Received an IV today at 4pm (Washington, DC area), and like above, I was really surprised by the quick turnaround. In fact, I would say I'm taken back considering my results thus far.

For those of you wondering the same thing, I completely re-worked my essay's for Darden. Within my previous essays I believe I focused too much on what I needed to gain, and not enough on my strength's. Well, I focused on my strengths (as an architect) this time, and I hope it pays off.

Stats: UG-ACC Public (GPA, 3.12), Grad-ACC Public (GPA, 3.46). 28/m/680 (46,37), Washington, DC.
