I am into the 13th week after my application went under review, and a month post-interview. Still no decision. Are others in the same boat?

I am 13 weeks after "under review" and over 6 weeks from "interview complete." Looks like we have the same timeline. If you don't mind, can you give me your background/stats to see if we're filling the same quota?

M / 25 / 3.5 / 710 / 2 yrs M&A IB & 2 yrs PE / Decent ECs w/ leadership

Has there been any movement since the last deadline?

I am starting to worry that maybe alwaysmilin's source was correct and all of us waitlisters are SOL.

i'm in the same boat.
i think there are still spots left. this wait is terrible and makes it impossible to make any other plans, but should be any day now.

well if anyone happens to have any insight as to what is going on here (ie, a pocket of applicants beyond the 12 weeks, almost May, still waiting to hear anything, WL or otherwise...), would be very interested to hear any thoughts. anyone talked to a member of columbia, etc? i find it odd. we all need to make decisions on job, other schools, etc.

I think they're all busy reading my application, or rather people like me who submitted their apps at the last minute. We're the trouble-makers.

they have read new apps throughout the entire process while making final decisions on applicants. these incredibly long waits are just pretty curious. no need to respond milias thanks.

I would hope that they're not waiting to evaluate any applications received at the deadline...and delaying decisions on everyone who is waiting so they can make them all at once.

What is the protocol for calling admissions? Is it frowned up? I think bschoolpanda did it earlier this week. Just call them up and say you're close to a deadline for another school (or two) but Columbia remains your #1 choice? Maybe if some people call we'll at least get some clarity...

I called last week and mentioned that it had been more than 12 weeks since my application went under review. The person I was speaking with asked if I had interviewed. I said "yes." He would only say that it can take longer than 12 weeks once you've interviewed, to be patient, etc. So basically, nothing we don't already know...

I withdrew my CBS app today. Best of luck to everyone. I've got to believe that CBS is about ready to send a ton of responses anytime now.

Someone mentioned contacting the AdComm in an attempt to expedite his decision - the general consensus, as I understand it, is that this can be risky. AdComms generally don't like to be forced into making a decision unless it's for a very good reason, e.g., you've been accepted to HBS/Stanford/Wharton but prefer CBS.
