What's the f***** good score that you had? With such a score, why would you look at HEC, not to mention NUS, instead of other schools?

Sorry for you guy. I know how it is like, I have applied twice to INSEAD.

The first time with really dumb essays but with a f****** good gmat -> interview then ding. Three years later, I had pretty good essays and the same gmat -> ding without interview !

The first time I applied only to INSEAD. Retrospectively, I think it was not very smart (no offence). Indeed, there are many French engineers who apply to INSEAD. Thus, even with a very good application, at the end it is just a lottery.

Today, well, too bad for INSEAD, I have been accepted to HEC Paris and I am waiting the NUS (Singapore) answer for the HEC-NUS double MBA program.

My two cents advice is that if you really want to enjoy an MBA education, you should apply to other programs without paying too much attention to the marketing of these business schools. You have to be the real added value of an MBA program and not the other way round.

Good luck.

I got 770 but gmat score is only one criteria, schools like INSEAD or HEC highly value diversity. By the way, it is what INSEAD says to waitlisted people: you are good enough ... but we have too many of your kind.

Regarding HEC & NUS, I have my reasons but it is not the subject here so if you want more information don't hesite to PM me.

Good luck with the waitlist. I hope you will find the right program for you.

Can we do that in the first place? What's the procedure like?
I thought if you drop out they might *not* even consider you next time.

most US B-schools will give R2 results in end-March or early April. I believe, it is then that some people will move from wait-list to accepted

It can be done of course, but then you start all over again i.e. wait for interview and run the risk of getting dinged. You are compared with the whole applicant pool. But if there is some significant improvement in the profile or feel that an interview again may be an advantage to place better among all the applicants, reapplying may work.
Its a tricky situation, coz wait list may not work at all until the end and re-applying may also not work as expected......

Current total is 376. It is better if the nationality/region wise breakdown is sought after the payment due date of 25th March.

That would, hopefully be much clearer picture than any snapshot taken meanwhile. I dont expect major movement (or any for that matter) until after the deposit date.

I know its not the right time to ask for breakup but still it would be great if someone can post total and nationality wise breakup at this point.

Re: INSEAD September 2011 intake waitlist [#permalink]
i believe it makes sense to have some latest numbers as some people might have logged in v.late (more admits?) or some would have already pulled out (v.low chance) ........ if anyone is willing to throw some light, it'll be hugely satisfying, though may be only marginally helpful ...... thanks in advance

I agree it would be nice to know the nationalty breakdown at this point. I understand the numbers haven't quite "settled" until the depoist deadline, but nice to know the max number (now) that it will evolve from. I assume all admits now have log in (more than a week since decision) and shown on MBA connect.

Thanks.
