Dear Alex,
Hey I have been lurking your posts and have finished most of your posts on your blog recently. I think you have a very realistic and keen perspective in regards to the MBA admission process. And moreover, I appreciate your straightforwardness in terms of accessing candidate's chances at schools. I was wondering if you can quickly just give me some advice in regards to my MBA admission process.
Age: 24 (25 @ matriculation)
GMAT: 710
GPA: 3.2 (econ) at a public in US
Background: Canadian grew up in Asia studied in US
WE: 3 years in London 1 year in Paris for Big 4 Audit
Languages: Chinese Fluent (Canto/Mandarin) Ok French
EC: Not too strong since college in terms of being in a community, but active in international philanthropic causes
I love my career as it is and I do not need an MBA to progress. However, I wouldn't mind getting experience at a MC firm to enhance my skillset and balance my experiences. I have done some research and have concluded that INSEAD is my ideal fit in terms of my personal goals, financial goals and career goals (Global outlook, 1 year program, good placements at top MC firms).
I wouldn't mind applying to just 1 school. Do you think it is a wise choice? Are my chances reasonable? Do you have any schools to recommend me that maybe similar to INSEAD in terms of placement and philosophy?
Thank you Alex!
