I never said that they were accepting significant numbers of business majors. Last year's cohort had like 6 people out of 100 if I am not mistaken. I was just saying that being a business major doesn't preclude you from applying anymore

It never did. The first year they still accepted 1 business major.

Well, the first year they said they didn't want business majors to apply. They changed that from the second cohort.

Engineering, yeaboi. :P

I need to start preparing for the interview. I got caught up in this paper I was writing for a conference and completely lost track of time until I got a reminder email earlier from "HBS Admissions"

First reaction was to freak out and then I saw it was a remainder email, I calmed down a bit and then was like, "WAIT ITS IN TWO DAYS"

Good luck! Did you use Sandys interview prep/an admission consultant?

No, unfortunately. I was traveling all over the place and it would have been hard coordinating that. And I'm pretty broke. The hotels in Boston were like completely sold out and the flight ticket was like $300 by itself. I had to get a new suit because all my clothes are in storage in college (*facepalm*). But thankfully, a friend was kind enough to use his reward points to book a hotel room at a Hilton very close to the campus. :)

I'll be applying to the 2+2 program two years from now (finished my second year- but since I'm doing a double major, I'll take a little over four years to graduate). Since you all are applying to 2+2 this year, I'm guessing you guys are pretty much done "building" your profile/resume. My question to you is:

Given the chance to rewind to two years ago, what would you have done differently to make your 2+2 application more competitive? Better GMAT prep? Prestigious internship? Some more leadership (if this - what kind?)? Entrepreneurship? Raise your GPA? Thanks! :) I look forward to reading what y'all have to say and wish you the best of luck for your 2+2 applications!

Good luck tmrw. I know having a second person help with interview questions is done quite often nowadays. Might look into it if I get an interview.

Since none of us are either in/out at this point, it's kinda tough to give any worthwhile advice here... Just stick around until we get our decisions and then I'm sure we can give more constructive feedback.

solb22: Chill out, bro! I wasn't trying to ask you because I thought you "might get rejected because of poor decision making". I felt that after I finished (or as I was in the process of finishing) my undergrad applications, there were certain things I felt I would have liked to be able to put on my apps even before decisions came out (even for schools I got into) - so that's the perspective I was looking for. Seems like that infuriates you to no end - so I'll "stop f***ing asking you this sh*t" as you put it. Good luck with your apps anyway.
