My interviewer said that there would be no communication from HBS until notification date, which was September 1st. I am pretty sure that one of my friends who interviewed was also told that it was September 1st.

I just confirmed with another friend who interviewed - the notification is on September 1st.

interesting. i wonder why some people were told september 1st and some people were told early september.......

It might have not been intentional, I think. Are you a summer applicant? I'm guessing you're Round 1?

oh im a summer round applicant. i had my interview today and at the end she told me that from this point all the hard work has been done/completed, and that there would be no communication from hbs untill early september when notifications come out. i just find it odd that some interviewers give september 1st while some give early september. why aren't they consistent about it? hopefully it's just due to different styles of the interviewer, rather than something indicative.... what do you think?

How can it be anything indicative? I mean, irrespective of whether we get in or not, we all get in/out on the same day. It's not a rolling announcement process. I think it's more to do with the style of the interviewer. What do you think?

well i certainly hope it's not indicative. i mean if anything at all, i think being told the exact notification date is def a positive sign than something as early september. look at the past 2 years' notification date, they were all on the first thursday of september....idk maybe im just making a big fuzz here about it...but how are you sure that all decisions will be released on the same day?

Interesting. And I don't know. I just think it'll be on the same date because that's how it was for the interview invites, which might not necessarily be the case. Last year was completely different because there was only one round. This year, only the summer round is in the unknown notification segment. The other rounds all have their decisions released with the regular round applicants. Dunno what to make out of anything. As long as I'm at school and working I'm okay; I get back home, and I get super nervous. How're you feeling about the whole thing? How was your interview?

i think the whole interview process went by really fast...my interview was very standard with all the questions you mentioned before. next few days will be so longggg! im gonna try to work hard to get it off my mind...lol
