East coast applicant here. Does anyone know whether calls are made throughout the day or is there generally a time frame in which they call applicants based on location? In other words, if other East Coasters like me haven't heard back by now, safe to assume a ding?

Well someone from the east coast got a phone call around half an hour back...so some hope remains..but its fading fast :(

The adcom lady who called me said that calls will continue till noon EST, then the decisions will be posted online. But there were 2 guys on GC EA this year who were admitted without a call.

Usually calls are made based on geographic region so (east coast, mid west, west coast/TX), but based on the low number of admit reported so far, it could be that they are doing things differently this time. I would not give up hope yet.

Inn... got a call at 1030 est from Jake. Relieved, stoked, confused. Was driving, missed a couple of calls. He was kind enough to call back. Reapplicant, hsm, india.. this will take some time to sink in.

Congrats. Seems like they are mixing things up. Every geographic region is a fair game until decisions get posted.
