Hey, regarding the open interviews , is there any option for international students? Do they provide options like interviewing with an alumni in the region?

i) Yup, international candidates may schedule on-campus interview during the open interview window.
ii) Yup for interview on invitation. Nope for open interview.

Thank you so much.

Also, another query regarding the Letters of recommendation. I have got one from my immediate boss. For the other one I could approach my manager but because I haven't worked very closely with him he wouldn't be able to write too much. Is it okay if I approach a colleague who is senior most in the team? In this situation, would I need to explain in the optional essay regarding my choice of recommenders or is one at manager level and one colleague a normal scenario?

Man! our situation in this case is quite similar! :)
I too am taking a reco from my immediate boss and another from a very senior colleague (he's close to retirement). Now, here's the catch. A colleague can be a junior, a senior or a guy sitting next to your cube. They all will have different credibility attached to them because of experience. I'd totally recommend you to write a line or two about this, so that at least the picture is clear. I am gonna do the same. Definitely not in a position to leave stuff to uncertainty... :)

Hello peeps,

Anybody know a good program to fulfill calculus pre-requisite for MBA?

i see that Duke is asking for it. In the past, Wharton conditionally accepted students before they complete calculus pre-req.

Finance - https://www.coursera.org/course/corpfinance (2-3 hpw) 6 weeks IESE
https://www.coursera.org/course/introfinance (6-8 hpw) 15 weeks VERIFIED Wharton
Accounting - https://www.coursera.org/course/accounting (6-8 hpw) 10 weeks VERIFIED Wharton
Operations - https://www.coursera.org/course/operations (5-7 hpw) 8 weeks VERIFIED Wharton

Duke got rid of the calculus requirement this year. It's no longer required.

Any EA applicants have done with the invitation interviews? Any suggestions or updates on the Qs?

Just finished the interview with alumnus yesterday. It was just a casual talk, regular questions and the alumnus was very friendly. I forgot to bring my resume and application package, so guys don't forget to bring them to the interview.

Application package? Isn't it supposed to be a blind interview, so all they have access to is your resume? I have my interview scheduled for Wednesday which is why I ask!

Normal questions, why MBA, why Duke, working experiences, what you can bring to Duke and some follow-up questions. Lasted about half an hour.

Just be yourself and don’t be nervous. Good luck:)

I don't think it blind. My interviewer just asked me why I didn't bring the application package~

Huh. Now that is pretty random. Thanks for the heads up anyway! I fully intend to take my resume but I'm definitely on the fence about taking the entire app with me.

I'd suggest to take the app too, just in case the person asks. If he does, then let him know that it was advised to be blind interview, but you still brought a copy for his sake.

Hey guys,
Please tell me what you mean by the "application package". Should i take a print of the PDF that was generated at the end?
