An MBA program will give you a strong foundation for marketing and for finance, which is very relevant if you pursue work in that industry. To build finance experience, I recommend looking for potential internship opportunities. This can be before you enter an MBA program, but it can also be during your summer internship at school. I recommend reaching out to your network and speaking to individuals in finance to learn more about the industry.
For universities, you should identify what your goals are. As an example, if you know you are interested in pursuing finance, than attending a university in the North East, particularly in New York, would be a great choice. First identify what you are looking for in a program, and then look for business schools that will help you reach your goals.
