Hi Paul,
Could you please evaluate my profile and suggest me some B-schools among top 25 where I stand a competitive chance. Please find a brief of my profile below:
Education:
Bachelor Of Engineering (Computer Sc.) from BIT Mesra with 77%( First Class with Distinction).
GMAT: 700,90%; Q 50,94%; V 34,69%; AWA 4.5
CFA level 1 certified. Pursuing CFA level 2
NCFM certifications (NSE's Certification in Financial Markets, India ). Completed 10 out of 15 modules.
Achieved “IBM DB2 UDB User Level Certification’ 2002”
Achieved “Retail Banking Awareness and Terminology Certification’ 2007”
Work Experience:
Around 6 years of experience in the IT industry and worked with prestigious companies like Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, Fiserv India Pvt. Ltd., and Headstrong Services India Pvt. Ltd.
Started my career as an Asst. Systems Engineer Trainee. Presently, in capacity of Lead Consultant working in a role of Business Analyst and leading a team of 7 people.
Awarded with appreciation certificate as ‘Star of the Quarter’ from IT Director, Fiserv India Pvt. Ltd. for growing a team of two people to a team of 6 people by winning client’s confidence and getting the deliveries on time with zero defect.
Worked in domains such as Mortgage( Leasing & Loaning), Retail Banking, Depository.
Have International exposure. Worked for 3 months at client location in Pittsburgh, PA (USA) and designed an online utility for the client to automate their File Backup System.
Have shown numerous leadership instances at work. Took quality initiatives in the project, Help team members to maintain their work life balance by taking counseling sessions, and so.
Extra Curricular:
Working as a volunteer candidate of community service group of my organization for last one year. Have worked on group’s various community service initiatives such as child education, helping to old, collection of resources like food, clothes for people afflicted from flood, earthquake.
During engineering college, I was volunteer candidate of NSS (National Service Scheme) for two years.
I do yoga regularly and out of my charm I have taken few sessions of yoga for my neighbors, colleagues, and friends.
I won second prize in improvisation in the college fest BITOTSAV’02.
Recommendations: I can expect to get couple of good recoms from present manager and onsite manager of my previous organisation.
Please let me know which all colleges should I target? I am looking only for MBA Finance and my favorite 6 are Berkley (Haas), NYU (Stern), Kellogg, LBS, Carnegie Mellon, Yale.
