"Promotion" on resume?

Hi Alex,
Please let me know if I'm overthinking this, but:
I've had two jobs since UG (first job for two years, second job for one year but two by matriculation). In my first job I was promoted from an "Analyst" type role to "Senior Analyst" in a slightly accelerated track. In my second job, which is in a very related but tangential industry, I was hired as an "Analyst", but a quick three months later was moved to a "Senior Analyst" title. I don't think this was quite a "promotion" per se, maybe just a reassignment of sorts.
I'm wondering how I should represent this on my resume. With my first job, I put in separate sections for my analyst and senior analyst roles because I spent a significant enough amount of time in both positions. But for this new job, I'm wondering if it may look a little petty or hair-splitting to put down that I was an analyst for just three months. But if I just show that I was hired as a senior analyst, that might be a misrepresentation of my work history.
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks.
