Question Pack 1 - Query in relation to RC  [#permalink]

i am planning to buy QP1 and planning to use it in a way one would give official verbal test ie do 36 questions at a time with a mix of 13 - 14 SC and RC and 9-10 CR.

my query in relation to RC questions - if i select 13 - 14 RC questions will i get different RC for each question or all questions in relation to a particular RC will come together sequentially (ie 4 RCs which we normally get in test) ? i read on forum that i will get different RC for each question and this is the issue with QP1 for RC. is there any way to solve this ?

also, i am not fully satisfied with official explanations compared to that provided by E-GMAT. Any way on how to directly find E-GMAT explanations for all QP1 questions without checking it manually? what are your views on QP1 and official solutions?

As far as I do know there is no way if not check manually every explanation of QP1 by Egmat.

There is not a collection of those and moreover, post the stem is copyright infringement.

To exploit at the best the QP1 as it is the real test read this by Charles https://gmatclub.com/forum/experts-topi ... 44293.html

I hope this helps.

Hi kj1993,

From what you describe, I assume that you're attempting to 'mimic' what you will experience in the Verbal section on Test Day. Unfortunately, doing random groups of practice questions won't properly mirror Test Day for a few reasons. First, a set of random questions won't adapt to your performance. Second, the specific question types won't necessary be in the same 'ratios' that you'll face on Test Day. Third, taking an individual 'section' (outside of the context of taking the full Exam under test-like conditions) is not a proper parallel to what the full Test Day 'event' actually entails. To properly train to face the full GMAT, you have to take FULL CATs under realistic, test-like conditions (re: taking the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, away from your home, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, etc.).

Before I can offer you any additional advice, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
