Well, lots of people are reporting that the school disclosed it received 4,600+ applications for 350 spots. If you assume the yield is 66% as it has been lately, then that implies an acceptance rate of 10-12%. Now, if the yield is actually higher, which sounds like the case last year, the school could afford to admit fewer applicants and push the acceptance rate even lower (<10%).

On top of that King, They did defer several students from last year to this year... So the pool is actually slightly smaller.

Anyone from the R1 waitlist get an interview invite? I was waitlisted on Dec 26th and just got an interview invite today. I wasn't expecting to hear anything until June but was pleasantly surprised today!

I just went to register, and it looks like all the interview slots are full up already! "This event is closed and is no longer accepting registrations."

I guess I'll have to send them an email to check.

I was still up the last night when the invite came through. While I was contemplating on slots as they clashed with my blow-off-the-steam vacation, the slots were full.
Amidst the Stanford-approaching selectivity, Sloan appears to be generous toward Asian applicants. :wink:

That does seem to be the case, but we can never be sure. There could have been (probably were) a larger contingent of Asian applicants, leading to more invitations. At this point, we could super-analyze everything and still be wrong - it is fun though :) !

Yep, wrote them. I'm assuming they didn't ACTUALLY send out more interview invites than they had slots, and that this will be fixed pretty soon.

Mumbai interview slot shortage fixed. They've opened up some more slots on March 23rd.
