Hi Linda,
I have decided to postpone my MBA by a year, because I had missed the first two deadlines and did not want to take my chances and apply in the 3rd round.

However, I had the two followup questions:

1. I will be reaching 30 end of this year (after the 1st deadline for Fall 2007 session) with almost 7 years of full time work experience. Will the age be a -ve factor affecting my chances at the schools that I wanted to apply for (namely HBS, Wharton, Kellogs, MIT, IMD and Insead)?

2. With my 690 GMAT (V34, Q49 and AWA-4.5) do you recommend that I retake the GMAT? Or will it be advisable to focus more on building up my resume through active work experience and Extra Cirricular Activities?

Thanks Linda and hope you have a nice day.

Regards,
John

To answer your questions.

1) Your age will not be a negative at any of the schools except possibly HBS. Please see our article for [urlhttps://www.accepted.com/mba/older.aspx]older MBA applicants.[/url]
2) Focus on school research and building up other parts of your profile.

Good luck!
