A. Euphorbia is poisonous to healthy people --- some non -poisonous attributes also given in the argument. depends how the plant is consumed.-- wrong
B. The fruits of Euphorbia can be used to cure cancer in minute quantities. --- Euphorbin can be used in minute quantities -- wrong
C. Cattle and Human beings are treatable with Euphorbin for curing HIV positive virus -- " can be treated" . so not sure of this statement. - wrong
D. Euphorbia is a roadside weed that has been used as a native drug until the anti- viral capableness was expounded -- no mention of "roadside weed"
E. Euphorbia is a useful plant --- some useful things are mentioned. hence we can say that the plant is useful . right

A doubt on option E - Euphorbia is useful, but isn't it useful only in small quantities ?? The answer doesn't seem convincing or am I missing something ?

Is A incorrect because it is already stated in the passage?

Because if it generally poisonous to people it must be true that it is poisonous to healthy people as well...

The option is incorrect because the argument says The Euphorbia is a tropical bush that is generally poisonous and the fruit is deadly..

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, my problem isn't resolved yet.

Answer A: Euphorbia is poisonous to healthy people

The passage you quoted and answer A both talk about the bush itself and not the fruit...What am I missing here?

The Euphorbia is a tropical bush that is generally poisonous and its fruit is deadly and can kill cattle and humans in a single intake; but some late studies have revealed that some parts of the plant contain a few useful molecules in minute quantities that can be used against certain viral diseases. The fruits and roots contain an alkaloid, Euphorbin that can be given in minute quantities to cure HIV positive virus

If the above information is true, find another statement that must be also true.
A. Euphorbia is poisonous to healthy people
B. The fruits of Euphorbia can be used to cure cancer in minute quantities.
C. Cattle and Human beings are treatable with Euphorbin for curing HIV positive virus
D. Euphorbia is a roadside weed that has been used as a native drug until the anti- viral capableness was expounded
E. Euphorbia is a useful plant

Imo E
This is a great question ans must be true questions generally demand more thought and careful understanding of the passage .
So let us analyze this question

A Well this may be true but it can be poisioness to unhealthy people and what healthy means here is clearly not stated so it is best to leave this choice .
B Cancer has not been discussed in the argument so we can not deduct anything , so let us leave it .
C Well this may be true but the passage does not talk about curing humans and cattle with the plant .It only talks about people and cattle to be susceptible to the poison. So nothing conclusive here .
D It contains some general facts which which are not in the argument so leave it .
E Correct . Yes this can be inferred from the argument
