Hi

My verbal score in the mocks has stagnated. I usually end up getting v33-36.
I don't want to go for any external coaching, but any advice to improve would be helpful. I have solved questions from OG and few from Veritas, Kaplan and Manhattan question banks.

Hi pashabhai,

Practice - revise - practice - revise - CAT

do this only with official questions:

ALL OGs (10,11,13,15,16,17,18)
Verbal Review
Question Pack (Do set of questions with all difficulty levels)
GMATPrep (CAT1&2)
Exam Packs (CAT3,4,5&6)
PowerPrep CATs

Every question will help you learn few concepts. Look for same concepts in other official questions. after that revise re-do practice new questions. then take CATs.

RELY on scores provide by official CATs (GMATPrep).

Do a set of questions with timer and then without timer and then check answer and explanations and then make notes along with writing the reason why you got the questions right or wrong or took more time etc.

This strategy should help you.

P.S. Apart from official questions i rely only on MGMAT questions :)

Stagnation would suggest a conceptual gap. You're not slow or inconsistent, you're just making the same mistakes again and again. Revise verbal concepts. Take a diagnostic so that you know where you're lacking. You will then be able to bridge the stagnation.
