Describe a failure or setback that you have experienced. How did you respond, and what did you learn about yourself? (500 words)?

Since the question says failure or setback, is falling ill, losing my job and working my way back a good example? Since most people'd describe a failed endeavor, I'm not really sure about my way way of looking at it. Inputs much appreciated.

rskaushik,

In its infinite generosity, Wharton snuck the word "setback" into that question to help people who don't have decent failure stories. If I fell ill and lost my job, I might not accuse myself of failing but I would certainly regard it as a setback. Wharton will too.

Good luck,
