0 because the only way to get a fraction equal to 0 is to have the numerator equal 0.

If 6/(x-6) = 0, then the numerator has to be 0 (just as you said, denominator can't be 0.) But since the numerator is 6, C can't be possible.

Hence the answer is C.

Shouldn't the answer be E?
Because, if we plug in 6 then 6/(6-6)= 6/0= undefined.

Since 6 divided by a number cannot equal zero, 6/(x - 6) cannot be zero.

Notice that the question is not asking for the value of x.

What can't be the value of \(\frac{6}{(x-6)}\)?

Since we have a six in the numerator, no matter what value we input for x, there is no way we can arrive at an answer of 0. Answer is C.

You're not plugging in 6, it's saying that the resulting value would be 6.

You would plug in 7 for x to get 6

6/(7 - 6) = 6
