A recipe for egg nog calls for 2 eggs for every 3 cups of milk. If the [#permalink]
We can set up a proportion to find the right answer choice:

- One quart has 4 cups of milk, 6 cups means 24 cups of milk.
- We also know that for every cup of milk, you require 2 eggs.

How many eggs do we need then?

24c / x = 3c / 2

Solve the proportion to find x.

2x24 = 48/3 = 16

x = 16.
